Where is Caking Mad located?
Caking Mad is located in the North-Eastern suburbs at Shop 7, 104-106 Elizabeth Street, Banksia Park South Australia.
Does Caking Mad make custom cakes to order?
Yes we do! For more information on the products we make please visit the custom orders page.
How do I receive a quote?
You can visit our store in Banksia Park or visit the custom orders page and complete the Quote form. Due to the large volume of enquiries we receive, we will endeavour to get back to you within 24 hours. Within the meantime, more information can be found on the custom orders page.
How much notice do you require for an order?
To avoid disappointment we recommend booking as early possible as we can book out as early as 3 months in advance. Please enquire here to receive a quote.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes a 50% deposit is required for all orders. Please see our terms and conditions for more information.
How long is my quote valid for?
Your order and event date are not confirmed until a 50% deposit has been paid. If no deposit has been received, your date is not guaranteed and is still available to other customers.
Do you offer cake tastings?
Yes we offer cake tastings at our store by appointment only. Please get in touch to arrange a suitable time.
Do you cater for dietary requirements?
We offer some gluten free and dairy free products. Please note that shared equipment is utilised and therefore there may be traces of nuts, gluten and/or dairy present. Please enquire if you have other dietary requirements.

What price are your cakes?
Due to each customers order being unique and every cake custom made, all cakes are priced individually and are based on three main factors: design, size and flavour. Click here to view more information on caking pricing.
Does Caking Mad sell cake decorating supplies?
We sell a wide range of essential and unique cake decorating supplies at our retail store. Shop online here.
Does Caking Mad print edible images?
Yes! We can print any A4 documents for $18 per sheet. Please email cakingmad.sa@gmail.com a PDF of the document that you would like printed.
To ensure your image is not cut off, the margins for the document need to be set to:
Top 3cm
Bottom 4cm
Sides 1cm
Sending the attachment as a PDF instead of a Word document or a picture ensures that the images are printed at the correct size and that any fonts you have used are printed correctly. If you send through a Word document we cannot ensure that the final product will appear the same as it did on your computer due to differences in default settings, program versions, installed fonts, etc.
Please note that we require at least 24 hours to print an edible image.
If Caking Mad need to format your image/document, a $5 formatting fee will be charged.
Does Caking Mad sell gift cards?
Yes! eGift Cards can be purchased online here, in store, or over the phone. You can set a custom value on the eGift Card (from $20 dollars) and email it directly to the person you have bought the gift card for. eGift Cards can be spent in store on cake decorating supplies or put towards a custom cake order or class booking.
Does Caking Mad accept special orders and buy-ins?
We sure do! If there is a product you have been looking for but cannot find it in store please contact us with the details of the item you are after and we will endeavour to find it for you. Whatever it may be, big or small, please ask and we will do our best to source the products for you.
Products that have been specially ordered in may require a deposit to confirm your order, we will provide details of this when you enquire.
Does Caking Mad offer classes?
We run a range of classes throughout the year for students with all levels of cake decorating experience. These include one off classes and term classes which run for 6-8 weeks. Please click here to read more about the classes currently available at Caking Mad.
