We offer some gluten free and dairy free products. Please note that shared equipment is utilised and therefore there may be traces of nuts, gluten and/or dairy present.
Serving Sizes
The cake industry has two different serving sizes: Dessert and Coffee size servings.
Dessert size slices are 1" x 2" x 4"
Coffee size slices are 1" x 1" x 4"
It is important to consider how you will be serving your cake. Will it be served as a formal dessert where each guest receives a slice of cake? Or will the cake be served as coffee portions on platters where your guests can help themselves?
The below charts are an estimation of serving sizes for different size cakes. Specialty cakes, carved cakes and method of slicing may affect the ultimate number of servings.

Pricing Guide
The following is a guide only. Due to each customers order being unique and every cake custom made, all cakes are priced individually and are based on three main factors: design, size and flavour. The standard height of a cake is 4 inches.
A small simply decorated fondant covered cake to serve 12 to 15 people is approximately $160. Cakes with more elaborate decorations will be priced accordingly to the amount of time required.
Buttercream cakes start at $150.
Cupcakes start at $4 with a minimum order of 12. Cupcakes can be customised with deluxe fillings and toppings, or even customised toppers.
Macarons start at $3 with a minimum order of 12. We offer discounts for bulk orders. Please enquire about additional decorations/finishes.
Cookies start at $4 with a minimum order 12. Cookies can be decorated using royal icing, or fondant if you prefer. We can package your cookies into cellophane bags and ribbon for an extra fee. Please enquire.
Cookie Cakes start at $120 for one letter or number.
We offer hand-made figurines starting at $30.
Please note that gluten free/dairy free cakes incur an extra fee per tier.

Delivery & Pick Up
Most of our custom cakes are available to collect from Shop 7, 104-106 Elizabeth Street, Banksia Park at a specified time. Alternatively, if your cake requires delivery and assembly at your function a delivery fee will apply. The minimum set up and delivery fee within a 10km radius is $50. Please enquire for delivery to other locations.
Custom Order Terms & Conditions
Payment of your deposit indicates that you have read, understood and accepted these terms and conditions.
Our terms and conditions cannot include all possible incidents, please get in touch and Caking Mad will endeavour to accommodate appropriately in all circumstances.
Payment
A non-refundable 50% deposit is required to confirm your order and hold your date. If no deposit has been received, your date is not guaranteed and is still available to other customers.
The balance is due 14 days prior to cake collection. Payment can be made by cash or card in store, direct deposit, or by card over the phone. Payment terms are at the discretion of Caking Mad.
Pick Up
Caking Mad is not responsible for the care and condition of the cake once it has been picked up. Caking Mad is not liable for any damages, accidents, or mishaps that may occur once the cake is released from our care.
Delivery
Please note that once an order has been set up at the venue, the care and condition of the cake is no longer the responsibility of Caking Mad. Caking Mad is not liable for any damage that may occur thereafter. Should you choose to have your cake setup outdoors, Caking Mad is not responsible for any damage that may result from the weather, animals, or any other possible causes of damage.
Postponement Policy
Please contact Caking Mad immediately if date of your event changes. Your new date may or may not be available, Caking Mad will endeavour to accommodate accordingly. If your new date is available, the deposit will be transferred. If your new date is not available, please see the cancellation policy.
Cancellation Policy
For orders cancelled within 6 weeks of your event date, deposits are non-refundable and non-transferrable. If you need to cancel your order prior to 6 weeks before your event, a credit voucher will be issued and these are valid for 12 months from your original event date. Cash refunds are not given.
